This is more of a UI bug, right before the horde fight there is a weapons terminal, a little above and to the right there is a patch of moss. If you access the weapons terminal from above the moss covers the UI displayed by the terminal.

Edit: Another thing that may or may not be a bug, I can't seem to be able to destroy missiles with the railgun, whereas I can do it with the basic handgun.

I had many instances of the "Low on Memory" Windows7 warning. It was not breaking the game, meaning that you could typically ignore the warning and keep on playing without anything going wrong on the game or the system. Those came up when I had only Firefox (3-4 pages) and Steam running, apart from the game. As I said before, I know the game uses complex shaders and stuff, but it's just a pixel game, come on... When I play 3D games like Skyrim or Bioshock Infinite, at decently high settings, I need to close everything down, and I still get some "Out of Memory" (non-breaking) warning; but, there, it's perfectly understandable!

*** My System: Win7x64 // 4GB RAM // 2.83GHz Core2-Quad CPU // 1GB HD4850 VGA.

I found a bug when you throw a remote bomb. If you are standing next to a wall the bomb can get caught between the player and the wall. The only way I could find to get out of this was to blow myself up.

Those falls arn't the effect of the infini dirft, I think tehy are just random map holes.The preview has alot of these,but it is just a preview build so I don't really mind them.

Got the error below when I was knocked off the edge while fighting two of those skeletons with swords, crashed to desktop. I can't quite recall the area I was in though, I'll try to update with a screenshot if I can get back there.

If you detonate the rolling bomb weapon on a turret that is not targeting the player, the turret sprite is thrown by the explosion but, the turret object continues to fire from the original position. I thought I was being sneaky by moving a turret until it's ghost murdered me.

I found the remote-controlled grenade a little troublesome: I couldn't understand if it is thrown in the direction (a) the drifter is facing, usually Left or Right, or (b) pointed by the cursor. Following how all other weapons work, I would expect (b) to be the correct. But, my observations were mostly towards (a).

Something that I've found thatĀ helpedĀ is actually using the aim mechanic before launching it, which is counter intuitive because it isn't necessarily a gun but it ensures it will be thrown in the direction you're aiming, just like any other item. Not really ideal, but it definitely works for now.

@imscoobydew -- That's with a controller? I forgot to mention that I played mouse+keybo, so maybe I missed something your controller-guys had easier access to =/

Yeah, with a controller. Not sure what the controls are for KB/M. You'll move the remote control bomb in what ever direction you're dsahing but it moves much slower than you. It's deinitely clunky but still works.

Extracting file failed. It is most likely caused by low memory (low disk space for swapping file) or corrupted Cabinet file.

And yes, I have enough disk space (356 Go exactly).
I forced Steam to verify the files: same.
I tried to uninstall the preview and redownload it: same.
I launched the DirectX file given with the install: same.

Infos about my PC:
OS: windows 8.1
CPU: intel i7 930
GPU: Geforce 670 GTX
RAM: 12 Go
DD: it's a SSD, Samsung EVO 840 (750Go)

Hello DaisZen. A strange problem; unfortunately, nothing comes to mind... You might wanna look into your user-data files (in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\HyperLightDrifter) and in your installed directory for more clues, if you believe it's a Steam problem... Me, I have like 4-5 files in that user-data directory, while the installation directory contains only one executable file (~250MB) and another directory with DirectX stuff in it.

I suggest you directly contact Heart-Machine about this. Here's what their fb post said: "Hello Drifters! We hope you've been enjoying the preview build so far! Just wanted to remind everyone if you have bugs, crashes, and other issues with the game, to send us a line at support@heart-machine.com, and we'll take care of them and update as best we can! Keep hacking and slashing your way through Drifterland!"

Hi Aleonymous.
After reading your answer, I emailed them :)

For information, because it can't extract anything, I don't even have a C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\HyperLightDrifter. Maybe the exe doesn't have the right to write in the folder? Would be strange, I'm trying as an admin and I stopped my antivirus/firewall.

Have you had any other such problems with Steam games, or is this your first-ever Steam game? Maybe, if you could find where the pre-extracted download is located, you could try to do the extraction yourself...

Well... I don't know what happened at all, I tried to relaunch the game after a while and it worked... It might be because of my PC and not the game because I remember my navigator sometimes telling me "you can't save this file on your desktop, you don't have the rights" from time to time with no reason, and going away for no reason too. I suppose it's the same here.
It's not my first steam game, to answer it ^^

Anyway: sorry for the "trouble for nothing" ^^'

Glad to hear it worked. Maybe you should "update" the guys at Heart-Machine support (did they answer?), that you problem was fixed on its own ;-)
